The University of Miami School of Law has a long tradition of engagement with the law of arbitration going back to Soia Mentschikoff, Miami Law’s legendary dean, who was a pioneer in the study of the arbitral process in the 1950s and 1960s. Miami Law's White & Case International Arbitration LL.M. Program, founded in 2009, offers a variety of specialized theoretical and practical international commercial and investment arbitration courses, including basic and advanced lectures, workshops and seminars, as well as hands-on skills and academic writing courses. Miami Law's International Arbitration Institute, founded in 2014, offers various international arbitration training and educational events.
