Young MIAS Member Spotlight: Renzo Seminario Córdova!
This month, we’re thrilled to feature Renzo Seminario Córdova, a Senior Associate in the Miami office of King & Spalding and a member of the firm’s International Disputes team. Renzo has over 12 years of experience in domestic and international arbitration, particularly in construction disputes. He has represented investors in some of the largest and most important public construction projects in LatAm and Peru, including in industries such as transportation (roads, ports, airports, bridges), irrigation, energy, education, oil, gas and mining. He also has experience dealing with design, EPC, EPCM, BOT, BOOT and FIDIC contracts. Renzo studied law at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru and received his LL.M. degree (honors) from Georgetown University Law Center in 2018, where he attended as an international arbitration program scholar. He is a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English. He also speaks Greek.

In 2023-2024, the Minority Corporate Counsel Association selected Renzo as part of its Sources of Success Program, a highly competitive program for diverse in-house counsel and senior associates to develop management and leadership skills. Renzo has been a professor of construction law in Peru and also assists in lectures at University of Miami’s International Arbitration L.L.M. Program.

Outside of work, Renzo enjoys playing tennis, walking and running early in the mornings, traveling, listening to podcasts about politics in the region, and trying new restaurants and (especially) bars!

Fun facts about Renzo:
Favorite Artist:
Not a favorite one, but I am recently interested in learning about Greek artists.

Favorite Restaurant in Miami:
Osaka (sorry to pick a Peruvian one).

Favorite Thing About Practicing International Dispute Resolution in Miami:
Traveling and what diversity brings!
Favorite Book(s):
I have recently read Los Genios by Jaime Bayly, a great book about the relationship between Gabriel García Marquez and Mario Vargas Llosa. Highly recommended.

Renzo is just one of the many stellar practitioners in the Miami market. To learn more about our amazing community, stay tuned for future Young MIAS Member Spotlight posts!
