Miami’s role as a global hub for international arbitration continues to grow—this time, thanks to a newly announced strategic collaboration between Arbitration Place and JAMS, two of the world’s premier providers of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services.

The partnership gives Arbitration Place access to the newly opened, state-of-the-art JAMS Resolution Center in downtown Miami—a purpose-built venue featuring 15 modern hearing rooms equipped for international arbitration and hybrid proceedings. While proceedings hosted by Arbitration Place will take place within the JAMS facility, they will remain confidential and distinct from JAMS operations.

According to Elizabeth Carter, Senior Vice President of Operations at JAMS, “This relationship will enhance the international arbitration landscape by providing additional resources and options for arbitrators, counsel, and clients who choose Miami as their venue for international disputes.”

For Jeffrey Mandell, Chairman and CEO of Arbitration Place, the collaboration is a natural step.

“Miami has emerged as a key destination for arbitration and mediation,” he said, citing the city’s increasing volume of Latin American-related disputes and the strength of its legal community. “Our alliance offers world-class hearing space with integrated services such as real-time court reporting and advanced evidence presentation—positioning us to meet rising demand in Miami and support its evolution as a global arbitration hub.”

The partnership is also a major win for Miami-based legal professionals, who will now have access to high-end hearing facilities and support services that rival any in the world—all without leaving South Florida. From streamlined scheduling and exhibit handling to hybrid-ready rooms and dedicated on-site staff, the collaboration offers a new level of convenience and professionalism for firms, arbitrators, and mediators practicing in Miami.

Katharine Menendez de la Cuesta, Chair of the Miami International Arbitration Society (MIAS), welcomed the news:

“This collaboration is exactly the kind of development we love to see at MIAS. It reflects the confidence the global ADR community has in Miami and delivers real, tangible benefits to local practitioners and clients alike. Access to top-tier facilities and services elevates the experience and efficiency of international proceedings—and affirms Miami’s place on the world arbitration map.”

For the wider Latin American arbitration market, this development enhances access to a sophisticated and neutral venue close to home. With Miami already serving as a preferred seat for many Latin American disputes, this partnership reinforces the city’s appeal as a practical, well-equipped, and culturally attuned forum for resolving cross-border conflicts.

Arbitration Place already has global collaborations in London, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Mauritius, and the Cayman Islands. The Miami alliance adds another vital link to this expanding network, and with the new JAMS Miami Resolution Center offering breathtaking views of South Beach and the latest hearing technology, it’s clear that the city is ready for its next chapter as a global leader in international dispute resolution.
